Collection One: A Grand Symphony of Icons

Collection One, H.J. Cave's first consumer collection in more than 75 years, updates the iconic basics that made the company legendary. Each creation carries a storied legacy whilst maintaining a graceful posture. Handmade with precision by skilled artisans.

In 1839, a woman in a small workshop makes history

Harriet Jane Cave established H.J. Cave in 1839 in a modest workshop in London, England. She made innovations that changed the face of the modern world and gained the esteem of her male peers. The first "English Trunk" and the first leather handbag were among the innovative products she created. The pinnacle of English workmanship, H.J. Cave has made handmade trunks and handbags for the Queens of England, Winston Churchill, and the Everest Expeditions.

Icon Living

Each icon represents a moment in time. Breathtaking and timeless, Collection One redefines the rules of luxury and elevates the bar. Since 1868, the flagship handbag "The Harriet" has been regarded Cave's crowning accomplishment. It is the contemporary incarnation of the very first leather handbag designed just for women.
